    Well, actually, lucky for Al.

But I trust you guys to stop him killing himself. Was just hoping to make you work a little harder for it!

@Aria – looks like we’ve done such a good job of making this place horrible that now we are about to leave and seal it up.

Cool, but (A) did you plan on us finding something in here? and (B) you said you had some plans for the next step in the run, with the teleporting and all…I just don’t want us to do anything to pre-empt your plans…..

That was actually my intention: It is a fact that the Fovea will start wandering a few years from now and open a way to the fairy courts.
Our fragging with the Fovea could be the cause that the portal spits us out somewhere else and then starts to wobble around until it pulls free from this place completely…

So, you’ve buggered the fovae and ‘eventually’ opened the way to the fey…and you’re now going to plop down inside an underground city in the midst of a blood summoning, don’t say I don’t pull out all the stops for you <evil grin>

Need a bit of juggling to finally sync you with Jungle Drums and then the team will emerge somewhere close to the Obsidian Pyramid described in that thread… how close to Robyn and her beleaguered troops is up to you but you won’t be right on top of the ritual itself as that would spoil the fun! Careful how you approach her (if you do) her troops are a little trigger happy right now.

Timeline wise you’ll emerge (for various reasons) 2-3 hours after my IC post #29

Hmmm – 2-3 hours after your pitched battle post….so that means the horrible battle is over? or that level of fighting carries on for 2-3 hours? So does that mean that Alyce’s giant party (minus many casualties) is already at the obsidian pyramid they’re trying to get to by the time we get there?

Maybe the Wyoming group should avoid arriving until the Jungle Drums players establish the answers to some of those questions…

    Aaaaand – more questions.

Sorry – partly because i have so little time, but mostly because i want to know as little as Al does when I arrive, have not been reading the JD thread.

So just to set the scene – when we arrive – are we underground? Is that right? is there light? How many people exactly are in Alyce’s giant team? Surviving, I mean, when we meet them?

Sorry to be a pain – but don’t want to step on toes of any players that have invested heavily in the existing JD game!

My understanding is that the battle action could very well still be going on, in which case the new arrivals might hear the sounds of assault cannons, machine guns, and various small arms. If the battle is over, you would find Alyce trying to gather the remaining members of her team.

I, of course, cannot speak for Aria as to who might have survived at the point that you come across the expedition, but I would assume that Dream is still alive, along with 2-3 of Rhea’s security force that went with him. I certainly hope that Alyce and Zen are still alive. I have prayed to the benevolent god, Aria, that Alyce’s close friends. Rhea and Milo, her Troll friend. Others of note would be Gregor Vasilovich, Adel, and Caroline. She came into the tunnels with about forty security men and three techs (magic, drones, and medical). The mage and the drone tech are both dead, but I do not know the fate of the med tech.

She started into the city with three Mule drones, one armed with a heavy Panther XXL assault cannot and two armed with an RPK HMG. She also had four Bumblebee drones, each armed with a Stoner-Ares M202 MMG. There used to be several Fly-Spies, a Caduceus 7, an EVO Proletarian, and three Reloading Drones, but I do not know how many of these have survived to this state of the battle. My last post indicated that Alyce could still hear the firing from the assault cannons and several machineguns, but that could easily be from earlier in the battle, of course.

Thanks for the summary Mercy, will get on an epic post to sort it all out. In the chasm the mages aren’t really there like you are, it’s a metaphor… you need to be in the real world to stop them… your acid spell
Sounds like a good way to break through into the real world!

Just seeing what the dice do in this case.

    Casting Acid Aura at F15 is 41d6: Spell casting 8 + Specialization 2 + Magic 10 + F15 + Focus 6

    Cast Spell: 41d6t5 15

Drain is 16d6 and damage is physical.

    Drain: 16d6t5 5

    Resist Drain is 20d6: WIL 7 + LOG 6 + Centering 7

    Resist Drain: 20d6t5 4

Not knowing what is in store, she will accept the one point of physical damage.
