    1) I want to apologize for having closed down my SR tabs ‘for a day or two’ most of two weeks ago, and so having taken a rather long unannounced break. It was only after I disconnected from a bunch of things that I realized how burned out I’d become, and I just couldn’t will myself to re-engage with everything for a while.
    2) That said, I’m feeling loads more myself, able to sit down and focus on one thing for a while. So I’m good to carry on with this — or if the stop-start-stop has killed things for people we could do an accelerated wrap up.
    3) Belatedly sending my hopes that the various holidays in the last month have treated you all well, and that everyone has benefited from a bit of a break.

    @Electric_Muppet I’ll wrap my head around where things were this weekend and re-post where we are on init, and also post key stats/abilities for the various thingies so that you all can roll their defense/soak tests as appropriate.

    And while the strategic issue of dealing with enough foes to wear you down sounded interesting, I’m realizing that it is a ridiculous amount of dice rolling which is even more annoying online than in person. After this pass wraps up I’m going to steal the grunt groups rules from SR6 (which honestly probably makes it easier on the player-characters). Or else come up with some way to wrap up the fight without having to knock out another 10 or so spirits.

    Could do, SR is really more the story than the rolls. Bronwean is more myth than math. Like it says on the toilet door, I’m easy.

    OK, I guess I just IC changed the Mantic-Bats fear from touch to ranged. It just seemed cooler and made more sense to me. They are rolling 11 dice.

    Fear is resisted by logic+willpower. It is a spirit attack, a fear attack, and a sound attack, so appropriate modifiers all apply.

    The site was down then came back up, but when I got myself together to post it was down again, and I admit I just didn’t check for a few more days after that.

    At this point I think I’m just going to try and wrap this up as quickly as can be done, since all momentum has been lost. There are still a few decisions for the team to make, however.

    Re-roll fear 21d 5 hits, hopefully enough to clear her head with Batshit’s help…

    Now we just need to ‘turn off the tap’ on this mana otherwise we’re going to flood the world with horrors πŸ˜€

    @Beta: for the sake of my sanity is there any chance we could have a bullet point description of what we’ve found down here or a map of some sort? Lily is no arcane expert so I don’t expect her to know what is going on but I am struggling too as play has dwindled (no fault of yours!)

    Ok, more than a day. Hopefully the attached sketch helps make sense of the place a bit. The numbers are the background count (mana surplus or void). Pretend that the rooms are the same size, and all symmetric.

    Thanks Beta… so we came in to the large room and then set off either left or right (can’t remember) and have been working around the cellular rooms in turn? The big space in the middle is either inaccessible (solid rock?) or we haven’t found the door yet? Where are the figures banging on the window telling us that the tide of creatures won’t stop?

    Sorry, I should have indicated that. The team is currently in the right hand +8 room (the one that has the note of ‘spirits’). The figures are in the ‘-12’ room.

    From maps they have seen, the middle area is apparently just rock.
