The Found Arcana – Chapter 6 [OOC]
-
SSorry, I owe a post about reaching out to Sander, but it won’t be until tomorrow. Fell asleep running my home game for my son. Really weird feeling to suddenly realize you were still talking for an npc but have no idea of what you just had them say, or why you were saying it. Anyway I don’t trust myself to stay coherent long enough to dig up what I’m supposed to be asking
-
@beta Do you do any in-person gaming? There’s a guy on Dumpshock who lives in Toronto who is always lobbying for in-person games. I did a 4-year PbP campaign with him. Older dude (67) with a colorful life. “After a few beers I’ll tell you about the time in 1993 I was arrested in Peru on suspicion of being a terrorist,” etc.
-
@Tecumseh Thanks for the pointer. I don’t do any in-person gaming currently (unfortunately, just a time thing with family and all), and I am also about 4-5 hours drive from Toronto 😀
Sounds like an interesting character of a player, though!
(also a reminder that I should get back to checking out Dumpshock occasionally)
-
Well nuts to me then. I thought you were in T.O. My mistake.
-
No worries! I’ve likely talked about Toronto. I’m in Ottawa, which a) is a lot smaller and isn’t all that exciting to talk about, and b) shows up in ShadowRun I think only when mentioned that it was the last place Quebec forces get driven out of (in Cutting Black)
-
Alright, I assume a time jump is in order
The morning of the 24th is coming up – travel to Pike Manor
-
Jack can you add some explanation of the uniforms/armored clothes so I’ll add them to AM’s sheet. I’d imagine they’ll be useful even after this gig.
-
There’s Lysander’s info that’s still outstanding. That said, I think Mato would rather just pay for the intel up-front rather than be obligated to provide intel in return. That’s Jawsey’s relationship to manage though.
-
In other news, I’m losing patience with the color formatting on the site. I’m going to go with bold for speech for a bit, as that seems more reliable and less annoying.
-
@Tecumesh nice touch about the morning pep talk. I imagine AM feeling awkward to have it, considering the size/ability differences.
-
Ah right, sorry, meant to add them:

@gilga Thanks. The idea came to me following the post about the zippers. It also foreshadows the next Interlude which I have planned. AM doesn’t have any form of close combat skill, does she?
I figure AM has plenty of interesting options. Influence could deflect someone with less-than-noble intentions. Alternatively, Growth could work for some lolz, although I’m not sure how her clothes would react.
I also note that her Wire Maid Work Outfit includes shock frills on the cloak.
Alternatively, is there a stat block for Trouble? I want to make sure that future plans can incorporate his capabilities.
@jack_spade Fun outfits! I like mine but I’m also envious of everyone else’s too.
-
@Tecumesh
No, no close combat skills. I gave her the fling spell also for self-defense, but influence can work. You need special clothes for the growth spell (which she can’t afford).
Trouble is easy: He has 5 in all stats, the default skills (assessing, perception, unarmed combat, astral combat if I recall), and sneaking. – 10 dice for any skill he has, 4 dice for any defaultable skill.
I think that he can provide reasonable protection or distraction (and the growth spell can work on him too).
I’ll make him a page when I have some time, but I assume that he can provide reasonable protection

1. Animal control
2. Movement
3. Concealment
4. Accident
5. Psychokinesis
-
Using growth on Trouble would be excellent fun! Animal control could be ‘interesting ‘ with the hunts.
a quick skim finds that a lot of current Ute names are Anglo names, the one I chose for Jawsey is a former head of one of the Ute reservations.

If anyone of you has architecture as a knowledge skill, now is the time to use it – or alternatively Intuition -1
