    Hi Jack,

I am pretty sure that we also spoke about a smart wig with trode net (did that arrive as well?)

@gilga It’s listed under your Wire Maid Work Outfit.

@all Damnit! I was going to buy Architecture with my knowledge karma – something about Mato studying the layout for the HQ – but then when it came time to spend the karma… I forgot and bought something else. Well, maybe this Chapter will inspire him to learn more.

Not a bad start. Maybe his radar sensors have taught him something over the course of time.

    @gilga

Ah sorry, yes – forgot about that. Yes it was delivered as well

    @ Tecumseh

One of the more useful knowledge skills for shadow runners 😉

In any case: Mato notices that quite a few of the walls are uncommonly broad and that the plans contain some blank spots, indicating that there are secret rooms and passages – likely at least one safe room.
    These are probably redacted plans.

Jawsey does have architecture 3 (courtesy of hos father working construction and describing and sketching buildings for the young Jawsey, then some personal study)

@jack_spade Do we know what our files/SINs say? Are there specific details or are we supposed to make them up in decentralized fashion?

You have your dossiers, so you can make something up IP 🙂

    Got it!

FYI, the Sioux stuff in my IC post is canon from the Shadows in Focus: Sioux Nation PDF. (Which, in my opinion, is excellent. I really wish they would get Kenneth Peters to do them for the rest of the Native American Nations.)

I took the company/battalion/division from my grandfather’s WWII service, although my grandfather was armor/tanks instead of infantry.

    @jack_spade Asking about this part:

“The center above the kitchens has the armory and the Master of the Hunt’s offices.”

From the maps (or if I passed it on the way to Hamington’s office), does the armory look like a separate room/section or does it look like gun cabinets? I’m wondering if Mato needs to inquire about the armory to Hamington or if it looks like a staffed office/location that Mato would visit separately.

The armory consists of two rooms of which one is only accessible through the first.

The first stores small arms and hunting gear, the second has full riot gear and heavy weapons – exactly what you would expect someone to have who might have to fight off a bunch of shadow runners 😉

Well, upon review Mato is not as good with guns as I thought.

In my head I thought he had the Firearms skill group, but it turns out that he doesn’t! He has Automatics, which is great for SMGs and assault rifles but means that he doesn’t know his way around a pistol or a hunting rifle. I attribute my confusion to having fired zero (0) shots during the course of this campaign. Actually, I’m struggling to remember any attacks of any sort.

Anyway, this should be good for some lolz. Tip of the cap to Jack if that was intentional.

    Not really 😀

But I allow using Automatic skill with -3 to substitute longarms and pistols

    More than fair.

Is the Walther P118 canon? I’m not familiar with it and can’t find any trace of it in the books. Brad is referring to it as “an auto”?

It’s from the German State of the Art book – I’ll post the stats when I’m back with my books

It’s a fully automatic pistol w/ trigger removal, smartlink, recoil compensation

    Well that sounds promising!

Chummer says that it includes “State of the Art ADL (German Handbook)” but it’s not offering me any Walther options other than the Palm Pistol.

Let’s see how well Mato talks shop with Brad. I’m always a bit uncertain whether to roll Intuition or Logic but in this case I’ll go with Intuition since it’s more about a hobbyist’s knowledge rather than a proper gunsmith’s expertise:

We’ll call that passing familiarity. I’ll put an IC post after this meeting I’m about to go into.

I found a stat line in a translation online. I also found it in Chummer once I rebooted Chummer:

    Walther P118

    + Advanced Safety System, Basic

    + Electronic Firing

    + Extended Clip

    + Gas-Vent 2 System

    + Safe Target System, Base

    + Smartgun System, Internal

    + Trigger Removal

    – Acc 5 (8), 7P, AP 0

    – RC 3, 24(c), SA/BF/FA

    – Ranges: 5 / 15 / 30 / 50

Hey, I was digging through old threads when I found the original (Lorebane’s) house rules. I know he had specific ones for magic (and something else?) but I only have the General doc.

I uploaded it here. I deleted some commentary for new players, like explaining Sum-to-10. It could probably benefit from some more formatting but it’s late right now:

    https://stormy-waters-2075.obsidianportal.com/wikis/the-found-arcana-general-house-rules

Option for Jack: Lorebane reduced the price of Adept Ways to 15 karma. Bobby just picked up The Beast’s Way for 15 karma – taking a discount because he already had a mentor spirit – but in theory he could take the house rule price and reduce it to 10 karma.

Also, Jack said that Bobby would be applying his discounts to “Astral Perception, Killing Hands and Combat Sense”. This would actually free up 1.0 power point, not just the 0.5 that Bobby spent on Keratin Control, so Bobby has another 0.5 PP floating around to spend.

Thanks, but I’ll stick to the original rules – less things to keep in mind 😉

Also, I took Combat Sense too, so all is balanced

Jack, I’m a bit confused about next steps. Did the certification just happen? Do I need to roll to hit any targets or anything? Is the certification for all weapons or is there a separate one for rifles?

That was for the gun – and I just let you buy hits.

Rifles are a different situation – but those have to be tested outside – after the briefing

There seems to be a bit of confusion:

You all were supposed to go to breakfast after meeting your superiors, right now it seems you want to go explore and not eat anything in the kitchen.

If that is indeed what you want – no problem – but it should be a conscious decision not to meet your new colleagues.
