    Won’t argue with that 😉

Well I’ll point out that I’m only one GM of three that would be ruling on Bobby, so let’s open it up to the group before you go to the effort of switching spells.

As for the pockets, I see multiple workarounds:

    1) Marsupials come with built-in pockets.

    2) Carry the reagents around in Bobby’s mouth.

    3) Carry the reagents around in Bobby’s prison pocket.

Hm, with the sudden size changes that could be really, really painful.

Depends on the reagents. What if they’re cotton balls?

Would the Sioux tradition have cotton balls as reagents?

In any case, Bobby’s cockroach form wouldn’t fare well either.

Which brings me to a different question: Vampires have the rule that bound foci do fuse with their body when they turn into mist.

Would you apply the same rule for bound foci with the Shapechange spell?

A medicine pouch as a focus would be an elegant solution

I played a vampire once who turned her lined coat into a focus so that she could switch into mist form without having to go streaking on the other side. Great character. Reflecting on it, I’m not sure she ever actually changed into mist form.

I would say “it depends.” Part of it depends on the focus. For a qi focus I would say sure, no problem, since those could be tattoos anyway. If Bobby decides he wants to make a focus out of an osmium mace, I’d be more wary. (Unless he lets Mato use it sometimes, in which case the answer is yes for sure.) That seems harder to explain why it would magically shrink and expand with the rest of him.

What kind of focus would the medicine pouch be? A qi focus, a spellcasting focus?

Sorry, Bobby isn’t into melee weapons.

Either a Sustaining Focus or a Qi Focus. Trousers would be a good form for that.

Oh no! I’ve ruined the RP element of Bobby regularly exposing himself!

Mato took Battle Hardened II (+1 rank) instead of the 2 free karma.

For the free knowledge skills, he took Underworld (Politics) at 1 (3), plus Recipes 1. Y’all be tasting his Artisan 1 cooking once he gets home.

The winter is only getting colder – and until I get keratin control I can’t even get Bobby’s body hair long enough to be off use

By the way, Bobby actually can ignore the defaulting problem for nearly any physical skill – as long as he can find some videos to watch for that particular task (Demara Power). So should we find a spaceshuttle and have an hour to spare, Bobby can try to pilot it 😉

Re: the IC thread, Bobby will have a chance to make a healing test before the bulk of Chapter 5 occurs, but you’re going to get woken up early the next morning (so not 12 hours of sleep). But you can keep the roll and the (eventual) healing.

Updated AM’s sheet. She is keeping the karma for the ally spirit, and adding two points in knowledge ‘gangs’ to reflect her interest in the wars around her, and one more point in knowledge ‘art’ reflecting her interest in exhibitions the gallery mission.

P.S I really like the free knowledge skills – I usually find myself skipping them saving the karma for active skills, but they add a lot of flavor.

Yes, that’s exactly my logic as well. Especially with Awakened, you never want to siphon off precious karma to put in something that’s mostly fluff and flavor and might never get used.

Over the years I’ve been experimenting with different approaches to knowledge skills in chargen. I’ve been toying with the idea of unlimited (within reason) points for hobbies and interest skills. Haven’t tried it yet.

Going forward I might increase the free knowledge points, but dedicate them to different skill categories (technical/professional vs. street vs. hobby/interest, etc).

In my home game I’ve started giving out a free knowledge skill point after most games, related to what happened in that session (after discussion). All those knowledge skills do take some tracking, but it also makes for cool moments of “wait, I KNOW about that!”

I do have some buying to do on Jawsey but probably won’t sit down to do it until tomorrow.
